Might TRS95 actually be TR*C*95? I was wondering 1) what an airline
that's going away in a very few days was doing in Goose Bay and 2) when
TRS picked up a 738?

Also, interesting that a couple of TRS 717s have escaped the clutches of
DAL (or are headed to KGYR for more serious work than can be done at
Cecil Field).

Last but not least, wonder who is picking up the FDX A306?

Good question on the A306. Skyliner suggested it was getting returned to
service, however I've also recently seen photos of an US B762 getting
broken up at BFM as well...

It would have to be something other than TRS as AirTran has never had a B738.

Looks like it was actually TSC95:

I've been watching that for a while now and am of the opinion that
they're going there for storage until the folks in Jacksonville can
make room for them. There's been a constant flow of them in and out
of there as they go through the Airtran-to-Delta conversion, but they
usually don't have more than 2-3 of them there at a time. If
Southwest is done with them but there isn't room for them at Cecil
right now, I assume that they're parking them at GYR to get them
off-property at ATL and are waiting to ferry them to Cecil. Either
that, or I suppose these could all be due for a heavy check and the
folks at GYR were the lowest bidder?

Last I heard, all 88 TRS 717s are going to Delta.
Perhaps very short-term storage as they wait in line to be Delta-ized.

More like Southwest wants them gone yesterday. If Citrus were still
functional they would probably be trying their best to find some more
712s. It does seem rather strange that they went all the way to KGYR
passing several suitable temp storage locations.

I was speaking of the 717s off their property, but of course the 737s
.... get them out-a-here!

GYR probably has the best deal for short-term storage.

As TRS's days dwindle, at 0312Z....2212EST now, there are only 6
airborne AirTran flights.

{coyotes} Gagner gives Coyotes season sweep of Oilers

Match.ca

Home Alone / The March Sisters At Christmas

EDMONTON -- Sam Gagner had two goals and two assists, and the Arizona Coyotes swept the season series against the Edmonton Oilers with a 5-1 win at Rexall Place on Tuesday.

Gagne, a former Oilers player, helped Arizona (12-18-4) to its fifth win against Edmonton (7-21-7) this season.

Martin Erat, Keith Yandle and Brandon Gormley scored for Arizona, which extended its point streak against Edmonton to 18 games (15-0-3). The Oilers have not defeated the Coyotes in regulation since Jan. 25, 2011.

Defenseman Justin Schultz scored for the Oilers.

Gagner scored on the first shot at 1:44, beating goaltender Ben Scrivens from a sharp angle at the side of the net. Erat gave Arizona a 2-0 lead at 5:00, tipping a Connor Murphy point shot past Scrivens, who was pulled after the goal.

Scrivens made his fifth consecutive start for Edmonton and made one save before being replaced by Viktor Fasth.

Erat has three goals and three assists against the Oilers this season.

Coyotes goaltender Devan Dubnyk defeated his former team for the third time, making 26 saves. He allowed three goals in the three wins.

Schultz cut the lead to 2-1 at 6:18, credited with the goal after his centering pass was redirected by Coyotes defenseman B.J. Crombeen into his net past Dubnyk.

Yandle scored 7:54 into the second period to restore a two-goal lead. The defenseman shot from the top of the faceoff circle and beat Fasth on the short side.

Two goals in 13 seconds of the third period gave Arizona a 5-1 lead.

Gormley banked a point shot past Fasth off the skate of Oilers defenseman Oscar Klefbom at 4:07. On the faceoff, Arizona gained control of the puck at the Edmonton blue line, where Gormley floated a shot at the net that was tipped by Gagner past Fasth.

Gagner entered the game with three goals and nine assists.

The win ended the Coyotes' two-game losing streak. They have won two of their past nine games, each against the Oilers.

Edmonton goes into the holiday break on an eight-game losing streak; it has lost 19 of its past 20 (1-13-6). Edmonton will play at the Calgary Flames on Saturday.

Arizona hosts the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.

{coyotes} COYOTES (11-18-4) at OILERS (7-20-7)

SwissOutpost.com SwissOutpost.com
White Christmas - Martina McBride

Tuesday, December 23, 2014
8:00 PM ET

COYOTES (11-18-4) at OILERS (7-20-7)

TV: SNW

Season series: The Arizona Coyotes have won all four games against the Edmonton Oilers. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored with less than a second left in overtime to give the Coyotes a 2-1 win at Gila River Arena on Dec. 16. Arizona forward Mikkel Boedker has five goals and two assists. Former Oilers goalie Devan Dubnyk has earned two of the four Coyotes victories; he has made 64 saves on 66 shots for a .970 save percentage.

Coyotes team scope: Arizona is 2-6-1 and has been outscored 36-18 in December after losing 7-1 at the Vancouver Canucks on Monday. Each win this month has come against the Oilers. Goalie Mike Smith, making his first start in four games, was pulled 1:39 into the second period after he allowed four goals on 11 shots. "We had some chances [in the first period] and didn't capitalize on them. … That's kind of a microcosm of our team this year," coach Dave Tippett said. "Get some chances, can't score. Give up too many chances and not getting enough saves. … I was disappointed that we didn't play better in front of [Smith], defend better in front of him." Smith is 5-15-2 with a 3.48 goals-against average and .884 save percentage. Dubnyk made 26 saves on 29 shots in relief. Ekman-Larsson scored for the Coyotes. It was his third goal in the past four games. After this game, Arizona will play its next two at home, beginning Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks.

Oilers team scope: Edmonton is 0-1-2 under interim coach Todd Nelson, whose first game behind the bench was the overtime loss to the Coyotes on Dec. 16. Rookie center Leon Draisaitl will return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Dallas Stars on Sunday. "I think sometimes when a player sits out like that, to view the game from a different perspective is helpful," Nelson said. "Especially when you're watching up top, the game slows down, you're able to learn different things with system work and watch maybe other players play in that position, what they are doing correctly, or incorrectly." Draisaitl, whom the Oilers selected with the third pick at the 2014 NHL Draft, centered a line with Nail Yakupov at left wing and Tyler Pitlick at right wing at practice Monday. Injured defenseman Nikita Nikitin (back) participated in practice, according to the Edmonton Journal, and expects to play Dec. 27 against the Calgary Flames. The Oilers scored seven goals in their final five games under former coach Dallas Eakins. They have scored nine times for Nelson, but have surrendered 11.

VANCOUVER -- Several scoring slumps ended in the Vancouver Canucks' 7-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Rogers Arena on Monday.

Alexandre Burrows scored twice to end a nine-game goal drought, Chris Higgins scored for the first time in 10 games, and Daniel Sedin scored his first in six games to help Vancouver avenge a lopsided loss against Arizona earlier this season.

Burrows, Kevin Bieksa and Sedin scored in the first period. Brad Richardson scored to make it 4-0 at 1:41 of the second period to chase Arizona goaltender Mike Smith after 11 shots.

Burrows scored his second on a power play midway through the second period, and Chris Higgins and Shawn Matthias rounded out the scoring with power-play goals 2:24 apart in the third period against the Coyotes' 29th-ranked penalty kill.

Ryan Miller made 38 saves for the Canucks (20-11-2), who have won two straight after snapping a five-game losing streak against the Calgary Flames on Saturday.

Arizona defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored a power-play goal for the Coyotes (11-18-4), who have one win in eight games heading into their game Tuesday against the Edmonton Oilers. Devan Dubnyk made 26 saves on 29 shots after replacing Smith.

The Coyotes won 5-0 in Vancouver in mid-November and had shut out the Canucks in three of their past four games.

Burrows, who played on the fourth line for a second straight game, scored his first of the game at 6:34 of the first period. His shot from below the goal line went in off the glove of Coyotes defenseman Michael Stone, who was attempting to tie up Canucks forward Derek Dorsett at the side of the net.

Arizona had a chance to tie it on consecutive power plays midway through the period, but couldn't solve Vancouver's third-ranked penalty kill before Bieksa stepped out of the box and into a 3-on-2 rush. Bieksa took a cross-ice pass from Henrik Sedin and beat Smith between the legs with a wrist shot from the faceoff dot.

Daniel Sedin banged a rebound between Smith's legs with 42 seconds left in the first period for his eighth goal.

Richardson beat Smith cleanly over the glove off a rush early in the second to end the Coyotes goalie's night. It was his eighth goal.

Smith, who watched Dubnyk start the previous three games, came into the game with an .889 save percentage, last in the NHL among goalies with more than 10 appearances. He has lost four straight starts, giving up 16 goals on 92 shots over that span.

Dubnyk made three good saves before Burrows scored his second goal of the game, eighth of the season, as the net-front presence on a power play. Burrows banked a rebound in off the glove of Coyotes defenseman Zbynek Michalek after Dubnyk had robbed him on his initial shot.

Ekman-Larsson scored his third goal in four games, beating Miller with a glove-side wrist shot after the Canucks goalie slid too far left to right. It was the first power-play goal allowed by Vancouver since a 4-3 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators on Dec. 7.

Higgins got that back on a Canucks power play 7:09 into the third period, one-timing Linden Vey's pass from behind the net under Dubnyk's pads from the top of the crease.

Matthias converted a backdoor pass from Richardson on another power play 9:33 into the third period.

The Canucks finished 3-for-6 on the power play. The Coyotes have allowed at least one power-play goal in nine of their past 10 games.

About the only bad news for the Canucks on Monday was the pregame announcement that forward Jannik Hansen, who collapsed on the bench after taking a hit Saturday, would not play for precautionary reasons.

Hansen took the morning skate after spending Saturday night in the hospital for observations. He planned to play, but the Canucks announced before the game that "further evaluation is required before he is cleared to play. Despite all tests being reported as normal, additional tests were ordered in the best interests of Hansen's health and safety."

VANCOUVER -- Vancouver Canucks forward Jannik Hansen will not play Monday against the Arizona Coyotes after briefly losing consciousness and collapsing on the bench Saturday in a game against the Calgary Flames.

After participating in the morning skate Monday, Hansen said he had been cleared to play against the Coyotes, but the Canucks later said he will not be permitted to play.

"In the process of reviewing Hansen's test results the Vancouver Canucks in consultation with specialists have determined that further evaluation is required before he is cleared to play," the Canucks said in a statement. "Despite all tests being reported as normal, additional tests were ordered in the best interests of Hansen's health and safety."

Earlier in the day, Hansen was cracking jokes and talking about playing against the Coyotes despite not remembering passing out on the bench Saturday.

"I kind of lost my wind. It happens from time to time, but I wasn't able to catch it quick enough and I took a quick nap on the bench," Hansen said. "It's scary in the moment, but I had an idea it wasn't anything with the heart. It was basically I couldn't breathe, so I wasn't too worried, but you go through all the precautions to get checked and double-checked and triple-checked and get the OK sign."

Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman hit Hansen 1:27 into the second period Saturday, and Hansen skated on his own to the bench, where he remained hunched over before slumping forward unconscious. Play was stopped while Canucks doctors rushed to Hansen, who was pulled up by teammates before waking up quickly and walking to the locker room with help from the medical staff.

"I remember sitting on bench kind of trying to catch my breath, and then I remember them pulling me up. A couple of seconds, no more," Hansen said. "[The doctors said] something about when you pass out the spasm relaxes and you can breathe again. It takes a couple seconds, that was it, and full air would happen right after too."

Hansen wasn't released from the hospital until 1 p.m. Sunday.

"It's just a matter of making sure nothing with the heart, and once the heart is cleared, you're clear," Hansen said. "They did thorough check and made sure everything is OK. They are not going to let a guy back on the ice unless you are cleared and ready for it."

Hansen apparently isn't ready yet.

Tom Sestito, who hasn't played since sustaining a groin injury Nov. 2, will likely replace Hansen in the Vancouver lineup against Arizona.

Re: [cactuswings 3132] Storage & Other News

Only the last two legs FlightAware has it as a 767-200. FlightAware
tagged the wrong aircraft with the data it had.
Most of the Aeromexico 767s are noted to be crossed occasionally.
i.e....July 12 an Sept 19 at
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/XAFRJ/history
I would bet the type of aircraft is correct, but the registration of the
aircraft that operated the flight was not.
