I picked up on this when I visited back in October 2013. Before we started our tour that day while sitting at the security gate I read off RJH on the nose wheel door of a Spanair coloured MD-82 parked next the California Pacific E.170. Once on the tour I took a shot attached of the Spanair airframe nose Named "Sunburst" my photo also shows this airframe as having GCV applied above the cockpit windows so I reckon this will be airframe C/n 53165.
Also attached is a photo of N545PT like yours parked out in the mid-field. So like you still looking for the C/n for this airframe. Maybe the FAA have got it wrong.
Cheers Drew

Some may say 'What?? - Only ONE???', but that's all I have so far from a visit on 11th Jan.
Spanair's MD-82 SE-RJH c/n 53165 (c/n 'confirmed' on airframes.org) is recorded as going to N545PT.
One example http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-md80-53165.htm
The FAA confirms N545PT as c/n 53165
But see these two shots:-

and
https://www.flickr.com/photos/elaref/12106476043/in/set-72157640084388074/
I accept that sticky tape registrations may not be the most reliable of systems, so is the N545PT here wrong?
Or did SE-RJH not become N545PT (Obviously it never got re-painted or stickered anyway)
