Tuesday night National History Net

Well for those of you who missed it or didn't know about it, this past Tuesday, February 12th at 7PM was the first night of the National History Net.  The net meets weekly on 446.675 negative offset, PL tone of 146.2.

There was a total of 3 check in's and honestly it was fun.  JD did a wonderful job of hosting the net and had some great questions.  It was great trying to figure out the history of Abraham Lincoln.  I did learn a few things like Abraham Lincoln is not considered a Vampire Slayer, well at least not in the history books that us mortals keep.  One other thing that I learned was that the 13th Admendment was created and ratified in the same year.  Now can any of you tell us what year that was without looking this info up on the computer or in a history book?  I will give you a hint....it was sometime between the 1800 and 1900 time frame.

Anyways I was great to have 3 check in's, but it would be nice to have more.  Please join us next week, February 19th at 7pm Arizona time for Presidential History night.  All I know is that George Washington was the first President and Abraham Lincoln was the 16th.

Remember, no politics (Vinnie.....ha ha ha!!!), and lets keep it clean, but most importantly we need make it fun.

Also remember there is no meeting this month because we are doing the Lost Dutchman Days on the 23rd at the Superstition Museum in AJ.  Vinnie will need assistance in setting up the equipment so try to be there around 7AM.

The next official meeting will be March 27th and the topic will be Echolink.  I will be starting promptly at 6:30pm.  Don't forget we will have a 50/50 raffle as well.
