I was lucky enough to arrange a fairly full tour of VCV, the only areas not visited was the area where all the Qantas were (ran out of time) and a couple of locked hangars. The tour itself basically was a snap shot of all the various departments as opposed to driving up and down the lines, so some things will have been missed. Not over keen with us logging and taking photos, but providing we did not photograph the tail numbers we were ok. Nothing to do with the airport authorities but the aircraft owners. Sadly I have to report that someone has decided to climb the fence, photographed aircraft and then posted them on the WEB which affectively stopped all visits into VCV because the aircraft owners were quite upset. But by the fact that we were allowed round sounds like things are getting back to normal. Many thanks to the airport management team for allowing us access, it was a very interesting couple of hours. Owing to the fact that the airfield has been covered from the outside I will confirm what has been logged. Quite a few aircraft have there titles and registrations painted out as they reach the scrapping area ie ANA, KLM and a few Delta L1011 and Fedex 727s.
Any help with any missed aircraft will be appreciated including the dumped UH1, and how I managed to miss the Omega B707 arriving I have no idea.
