LIGHTNING (40-26-5) at COYOTES (31-32-7)

TV: 10 p.m. ET; SUN, FS-A, NHL.TV

Season series: The Tampa Bay Lightning will try to sweep the Arizona Coyotes for the second straight season. Cedric Paquette's second-period penalty-shot goal was the game-winner in the Lightning's 2-1 victory at Amelie Arena on Feb. 23. Tampa Bay goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 29 saves, allowing a third-period goal by Jordan Martinook.

Lightning team scope: Tampa Bay is trying to split its four-game road trip after failing to hold a third-period lead in a 4-3 loss at the Dallas Stars on Thursday. The Lightning have lost two straight games and five of six, dropping them to third place in the Atlantic Division. "We can't let that fear of losing creep in at this time of the year," captain Steven Stamkos said after the game. "There's almost that feeling like we want to get to the [Stanley Cup Playoffs] here, but there's still a lot of hockey left. So we'll address that, nip that, and stay focused for these last 11 games of the season because there's no guarantee about the playoffs until you clinch a spot." Center Valtteri Filppula (upper body) will miss his third game and isn't expected back until next week at the earliest.

Coyotes team scope: With defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson (shoulder) doubtful, the Coyotes recalled Phillip Samuelsson from Springfield of the American Hockey League on Friday. Defenseman Nicklas Grossmann took a maintenance day, but coach Dave Tippett said he will play. Rookie goaltender Louis Domingue will start the first of back-to-back games, with Mike Smith playing Sunday at the San Jose Sharks. Smith is 2-0-0 since returning from a lower-body injury that required surgery and kept him out for more than three months, including a 3-1 home win against San Jose on Thursday. "[Smith] has played two games now," Tippett told the Coyotes website, "Louis will get the game [Saturday], [Smith] will play Sunday and then we'll re-evaluate from there. On the back-to-back, we knew both of them would play. It's great to see [Smith] come back and play well, and this will give him an extra day to get ready for San Jose."
