{coyotes} NHL instructing officials to speed up post-review process

The NHL is instructing officials to drop the puck immediately after announcing a review decision, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on Wednesday.

@FriedgeHNIC : In an effort to speed up review process, NHL is instructing officials to drop puck immediately after announcing decision...

@FriedgeHNIC :@FriedgeHNIC don't go to benches to explain beyond what said on mic. As @DougMaclean knows, if you go to one coach, you have to go to both

@FriedgeHNIC :Also, hearing the possibility of a clock (or set time limit) for review process was discussed. That would be for next season.

The league has struggled with the length of reviews lately with several dragging on for over five minutes. Although everyone wants the call to be right, the lengthy wait times can certainly deflate a crowd.

One of the most recent examples was in February when the Chicago Blackhawks visited the Minnesota Wild.
