The Arizona Coyotes are bringing back Nick Bjugstad on a two-year deal, the club announced Saturday.
According to longtime Coyotes beat writer Craig Morgan, Bjugstad's new deal is worth $4.2 million in total.
The 30-year-old, Minneapolis native returns to the Coyotes for a second run after having spent 59 games with the club last season, before a deadline trade to the Edmonton Oilers.
"We are very pleased to have Nick re-join the Coyotes," said Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong, per a team release. "He is a reliable two-way center, a good leader, and a great teammate. We look forward to having him back on our roster again this season."
Bjugstad collected 13 goals and 23 points through that first spin in Arizona. Overall, he's amassed 127 goals and 266 points through 618 NHL appearances over the course of his 11-year career. In that time, he's logged games for Florida, Pittsburgh and Minnesota as well.
The six-foot-six, 209-pound forward's best years came in Florida, when he was s 20-goal, 40-point presence for the Panthers. This past season marked his most productive campaign since those early-career days, Bjugstad putting up a combined 17 goals and 29 points between Arizona and Edmonton in 2022-23.
