At the last meeting the members in attendance sort of left the camping out trip up in the air. Suggestions from members on where and when to do the next campout were requested. A member mentioned that Granite Reef area was down low in respect to the surrounding area as its next to the Salt River. I don't know if ham band reception is decent at the picnic area or not its something to check out. The coming months are the best time of the year for getting out and enjoying Arizona weather. I suggest we as a group should check out different places within easy driving distance from Mesa for Ham activities. I picked Granite Reef because its close and has toilet facilities its cheaper to pay the Tonto pass than to drive to Superior or Globe. So if someone has another suggestion I'm open we may have to check out several sits before we find a location that provides everything we would like.
