(AP) -- Teemu Selanne and defensemen Sami Vatanen and Nolan Yonkman scored on Anaheim's first three shots against Phoenix Coyotes rookie Mark Visentin, and the Ducks earned a 6-2 victory Monday night in their preseason opener.
Yonkman's short-handed goal came 2:59 in, and Daniel Winnik capped Anaheim's four-goal first period. Hampus Lindholm connected during a 5-on-3 power play in the second, Emerson Etem also had a goal, and Andrew Cogliano had three assists.
Both starting goalies sat out the third period. Jonas Hiller stopped 12 of 13 shots for the Ducks. Visentin, one of two first-round picks by the Coyotes in the 2010 draft, made 18 saves.
Guillaume Latendresse and Chris Brown scored for Phoenix.
Coyotes enforcer Paul Bissonnette was suspended for 10 regular-season games by the NHL on Monday for leaving the bench to fight Los Angeles' Jordan Nolan on Sunday. Nolan had leveled Coyotes defenseman Rotislav Klesla with a hit that left him with a concussion and whiplash.
