Hi Vincent,
I beleave you made the correct decission not to go ahead with the trip as lightning and high wind don't mix
when you are only a few feet from that big lightning rod sticking up over 100ft in the air. I've been there and operated twice and it is a lot of fun buy fried coax and melted rigs and burned bodies is not the ideal trip. 73 and regards, Terry nk7t.

Due to a predicted high wind advisory and electrical storm activity, the
trip to the Titan Missile Museum must be rescheduled. The antenna is
very old and has a lot of electrical noise in high wind conditions
making contacts difficult if unlikely. Likewise, the antenna is an 80'
high dipole and we do want to connect a radio to such an apparatus in an
electrical storm due safety reasons.

We will discuss another makeup date in the fall. We look forward seeing
you all at field at fieldday Moqui campground in Coconino National
Forest north of Payson. We apologize for any inconvenience but must put
safety first. For information about field please the club website or
Facebook page.
