COYOTES (4-6-0) at DUCKS (4-5-2)

Coyotes team scope
The Arizona Coyotes did not skate on Friday but coach Dave Tippett told the teams website that forward Tobias Rieder, who didn't play in a 3-2 shootout win against the Nashville Predators on Thursday, would be a game-time decision. Forward Martin Hanzal and defenseman Michael Stone also did not play, and Tippett said they didn't travel with the team to Anaheim. Anthony Duclair ended his scoring drought with a game-tying goal. "[Duclair] had some good chances last game, so you knew it was just a matter of time before he was going to capitalize on some," Tippett told azcentral.com after the game. "So that was a timely goal for him, timely two goals for him."
Ducks team scope
The Anaheim Ducks are still without their captain, Ryan Getzlaf, and his linemate, Nick Ritchie, who were each ruled out for the game with an upper-body injury. This will be the second straight game they have missed. "Everybody is faced with the challenge of injuries," coach Randy Carlyle said. "We were planning on having players that were going to be unavailable, but you don't limit them until it actually happens. They're two big players in our lineup but there's an opportunity for some others to move up in the lineup and show us what they've got." Last season, the Ducks struggled to slow down the speedy young forwards of the Coyotes. In five games, Max Domi scored three goals and assisted on four and Duclair had a hat trick in Anaheim. The Ducks have lost their past two home games, getting outscored 9-1. "That's part of the wave of skill and speed that's in the NHL now," Carlyle said. "Don't allow them to play that give-and-go game because that's where they really survive and they thrive in that."
