GLENDALE, Ariz. – Phoenix Coyotes center Martin Hanzal who leads the club with seven goals despite missing nine games this season, was activated off injured reserve prior to Monday's game against the Anaheim Ducks.
Hanzal, who has 10 points in 12 games, had missed the past five games with an upper-body injury. He was in the starting lineup Monday night, centering Mikkel Boedker and Steve Sullivan.
The Coyotes made one other change Monday. Former Michigan Wolverine Chris Brown made his National Hockey League debut against the Ducks. The 2009 second-round pick had 18 goals and 29 points in 51 games with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. Paul Bissonnette and Nick Johnson were healthy scratches.
Anaheim played without center Kyle Palmieri, who suffered an upper-body injury early in Phoenix's 5-4 shootout win against Anaheim on Saturday.
