The Arizona Coyotes have traded defencemen Keith Yandle and Chris Summers to the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Anthony Duclair, defenceman John Moore, a first-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft and a second-round pick in the 2015 Draft.

As part of the deal, the Coyotes are expected to retain half of Yandle's salary. 

The Boston-born defenceman is in the fourth year of a five-year deal he signed with the Coyotes prior to the 2011-12 season worth an average annual value of $5.25 million.

Yandle, 28, has scored four goals and 37 assists in 63 games with the Coyotes this season.

He has spent his entire career with the Coyotes organization. He was drafted by the then-Phoenix Coyotes in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. In 558 career games with the club he has scored 65 goals and 246 assists.

Yandle represented the Coyotes at the 2011 and 2012 NHL All-Star Games.

Duclair, 19, scored one goal and six assists in 18 games with the Rangers this season.

Selected in the third round (80th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Duclair was assigned to the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL) on Jan. 6 after helping lead Canada to gold at the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship.

In 19 games with the Remparts, Duclair has scored nine goals and 16 assists. He scored 50 goals and 49 assists in 59 games with the Remparts in 2013-14.

Moore, 24, has played 38 games with the Rangers this season scoring one goal and five assists.

In 211 career career games with the Rangers and Columbus Blue Jackets Moore has scored eight goals and 27 assists.

The Blue Jackets selected Moore in the first round (21st overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Rangers in the deal that sent Marian Gaborik to Columbus in 2013.

Currently on a one-year, $851,000 deal Moore is eligible to become a restricted free agent at season's end.

Summers, 27, has scored three assists in 17 games with the Coyotes this season. he was originally selected in the first round (29th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Coyotes.

The Rangers will also receive a fourth-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft from the Coyotes in the deal.
