{coyotes} Salary arbitration hearings to start July 20

The NHL and NHL Players' Association will conduct salary arbitration hearings between July 20 and Aug. 4.

The New York Rangers will be the busiest team, with four hearings scheduled. Defenseman Dylan McIlrath's hearing will be July 21, followed by forward Chris Kreider on July 22, forward Kevin Hayes on July 27 and forward J.T. Miller on Aug. 2.

Other notable players scheduled for hearings are St. Louis Blues forward Jaden Schwartz on July 20, Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn on July 25, Detroit Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek on July 27, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie on July 29 and Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman on Aug. 4.

There are 22 hearings scheduled. All are player-requested hearings except for Mrazek's, which is a team-elected filing.

Initially 25 players had filed for arbitration but three players have signed new contracts. Goaltender Jared Coreau signed a two-year contract with the Red Wings on July 6, forward Kyle Palmieri signed a five-year, $23.25 million contract with the New Jersey Devils on July 7, and forward Jordan Weal signed with the Flyers on July 11.
