The NHL Players' Association concluded their ratification vote on the new collective bargaining agreement with the National Hockey League at 8am et this morning and the results are expected to be announced later today.
The NHL's Board of Governors already voted unanimously in favour of the new CBA proposal on Wednesday.
Once a memorandum of understanding between both sides is signed, training camps and team transactions can officially begin and the league will release its 48-game schedule, which likely begins next Saturday.
The NHL's new CBA is expected to be completed by the end of February. The league and NHLPA have agreed to meet over 10 consecutive days next month to finish off a document that will total several hundred
pages.
