Plan for this weekend

We know that the San Carlos Apache Tribe will be up at Oak Flats this weekend, protesting the land swap.  There have been scattered reports that say there is quit a few people up there.  I know for sure that this is their last weekend up there and the plans are they will be there.  How many?  I don't know.

With that being said, there are 3 of us that will be up there around noon to 1pm on Friday.  We will take a look at the situation.  So keep your eyes open for an email and Facebook update.

If there is no posting, then assume we are camping at Oak Flats.  If there is an email and Facebook update then there is a change in plans.  I will attempt to communicate one way or another but can't guarantee it.

I will definitely be monitoring simplex 446.050 AND the Rimlink.  Call out either my call sign, KE7VLC or the club call, WM7RC.  Hopefully I will hear and respond.

There is also reports of cows in the campground.  So lets be vigilant with any of our pets we bring along.

Also pack your rain gear.  The forecast calls for rain.
