Re: [cactuswings 3182] Re: Kingman Puzzle

Despite seeing N545PT in January again, I had forgotten about this post in the intervening year.

Thanks for the solution

Gents,

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but in case anyone was interested and still researching, N545PT was incorrect applied to N534PT cn 53340

The airframe is an ex- City Airline MD-87, hence the blue tail but bright white fuselage

Hope it helps,

Jimmi

Some may say 'What?? - Only ONE???', but that's all I have so far from a visit on 11th Jan.

Spanair's MD-82 SE-RJH c/n 53165 (c/n 'confirmed' on airframes.org) is recorded as going to N545PT.
One example http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-md80-53165.htm
The FAA confirms N545PT as c/n 53165

But see these two shots:-

and

I accept that sticky tape registrations may not be the most reliable of systems, so is the N545PT here wrong?

Or did SE-RJH not become N545PT (Obviously it never got re-painted or stickered anyway)

Thks
