{coyotes} Coyotes' Rieder injured at World Championship

Arizona Coyotes right wing Tobias Rieder will need a month to recover from a lower-body injury sustained while playing for Germany at the 2016 IIHF World Championship.

He was injured in a collision with Canada forward Corey Perry (Anaheim Ducks) in the second period of a 5-2 loss May 12. In four games Rieder, 23, had one goal and one assist.

The injury is not considered serious, according to Coyotes general manager John Chayka.

"[Rieder] has a long summer to recover and get his training in," he told the Coyotes website. "We expect him to be ready to go at training camp in September at 100 percent."

Rieder had 14 goals and 37 points in 82 games for the Coyotes this season.
