8 p.m. ET; FS-A, FS-TN, NHL.TV
Predators team scope
The Nashville Predators are 3-8-2 on the road and have been outscored 47-32 following a 5-2 loss against the Dallas Stars on Thursday. Coach Peter Laviolette called his team a "no-show" after the game, but softened his tone on Saturday. "I don't mind the way we're playing on the road right now," he said. "We're doing good things. There are a couple of tough games in there." Goalie Pekka Rinne will start and is looking for his 250th NHL win against a team he has dominated in his career; Rinne is 15-6-2 with a 1.99 goals-against average and six shutouts in 24 games against the Arizona Coyotes. Defenseman Ryan Ellis (upper body) and forward Colton Sissons (upper body) each practiced on Friday, but Laviolette wouldn't comment on their availability after an optional skate. Without Ellis, the Predators are 1-for-19 on the power play in the past six games, going 2-3-1 after winning seven of the previous nine.
Coyotes team scope
The Coyotes, who have lost six straight games (0-3-3) will be without Max Domi, who is he is week to week with an upper-body injury, for the first time this season. Domi sustained the injury late in the second period of a 2-1 overtime loss against the Calgary Flames on Thursday and was bleeding around his left eye when he left the ice. Domi leads the Coyotes with 11 assists and his 16 points rank second. Coach Dave Tippett will scratch, Anthony Duclair (one goal in 25 games) and Michael Stone (no goals in 17 games) and will use four players who weren't on the roster last week in the lineup. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who left the game on Thursday twice with injuries, will play. "We took a couple of step forward (against Calgary) and that's really what it comes down to and what it takes to win games," Ekman-Larsson said. "You battle hard every shift and keep feeling better about ourselves and create chances from there. We're all trying, but when you lose you start thinking too much." Arizona acquired center Peter Holland from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a conditional sixth-round pick on Friday, but visa issues will keep him out for the game. Shane Doan, who became the franchise leader in assists with his 554th on Thursday, needs one goal to reach 400. Mike Smith makes his third straight start in goal.
