COYOTES (11-21-5) at CANUCKS (18-18-3)
10 p.m. ET; SNP, FS-A, NHL.TV
Coyotes team scope
The Arizona Coyotes will attempt to end a seven-game losing streak. "The frustration is incredible and the disappointment … but it doesn't really do you any good to focus on that," captain Shane Doan said. "Your whole focus has to be finding a way to win your next game." Center Alexander Burmistrov, claimed off waivers from the Winnipeg Jets on Monday, was at the morning skate but won't play while he sorts out his work visa. Coach Dave Tippett is moving Jordan Martinook from second-line center to right wing on the fourth line. "He's done a nice job for us at center but I think he's a more valuable player on the wing," Tippett said. "It allows him to use his tenacity and the strengths of his game. Eventually Burmistrov will come in and hopefully we can keep Martinook on wing. Through our injury situation at center ice we're just looking for people to try to see if we can fill some holes." Defensemen Luke Schenn and Alex Goligoski will each play their 600th NHL game.
Canucks team scope
The Vancouver Canucks have won four straight games for the second time this season but believe they are playing better now than when they started 4-0-0, which included three third-period comebacks. "You don't win many games when the only time you lead is at the very end," coach Willie Desjardins said. "This is more indicative of where we are at." Vancouver hasn't won five in a row since a seven-game winning streak from Dec. 1-14, 2013. The current streak started after the Canucks had 14 shots on goal in a 4-1 loss at the Calgary Flames on Dec. 23, sending them into the Christmas break on a 2-5-1 slump. "Looking back now maybe that was good for us because you could tell everyone was so focused coming out of the break and we talked about being just a little better each and every day," forward Daniel Sedin said. Right wing Alexandre Burrows is expected to return after missing a 3-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday with a scratched eye.

Boucher, who had one goal and two assists in 12 games with the Devils and Nashville Predators this season, was expected to arrive in Vancouver in the afternoon but won't play against Arizona. "We'll take a look at him over a period of time and see where he fits," Desjardins said.
