COYOTES (11-22-5) at DUCKS (20-12-8)

Coyotes team scope
The Arizona Coyotes will try to end an eight-game losing streak Friday. They are 3-12-3 in their past 18 games. "You have to look to your top players," coach Dave Tippett said. "Your key veteran players have to lead the way. They're the guys that step out and dictate the pace of the game, the thought processes in the game. We've got a lot of younger players that, if they can get out there and get their feet underneath them, hopefully the consistency will come to our game. But you need your veteran players to go out there and do their job and get the game going the right way for you." The Coyotes top line of Tobias Rieder, Martin Hanzal and Anthony Duclair has given the Anaheim Ducks problems in the past. Duclair has six goals in six games against Anaheim and is trying to recapture the same chemistry he had with Rieder when he scored his first NHL hat trick at Honda Center on Oct. 15, 2015. "We want to build off what we did last year and bring that tonight," Duclair said. "We want to make quick passes and simple plays off the neutral zone, get in deep and go to work … They've got some tough defensemen but we want to use our speed -- me and Rieder -- and beat them wide and try to get in deep."
Ducks team scope
The Anaheim Ducks will be without captain Ryan Getzlaf for a second straight game with a lower-body injury. Getzlaf skated on his own before the Ducks morning skate, but was ruled out for Friday. It was his first time on the ice since he was injured in a 4-3 shootout win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday. Rickard Rakell will center Anaheim's top line. Rakell has played center with the Ducks until this season, when he was put at left wing on the top line with Getzlaf and Corey Perry. "I think it puts more emphasis on Ricky Rakell," coach Randy Carlyle said. "We're not going to change the [Ryan] Kesler line or the [Antoine] Vermette line at this point, and we feel that Rakell has the ability to step in and step his game up even more."
