Anyways, next month (September) is National Emergency Preparedness month. So get your thinking caps on about what you, your family, friends, community and hams can do to prepare. If anyone has a go kit, bring it and be prepared to explain what is in it, why you put what is inside it, and how you chose it.
I also want everyone to think of several different types of Emergencies that Phoenix might encounter, how you and your family would react.
The main focus of our group is Ham Radio, so think of ways that Ham Radio helps out. Think about what you need to do to get ready to help out. How you might practice the skills needed to help out. What equipment should you bring with you. Things like that.
Also, we still need to think about a possible October campout or activity. We need to come up with a Date and a location. Think about that and lets discuss.
We also need a topic for the November meeting. So any thoughts?
