The NHL and NHL Players' Association ended CBA talks for the day on Wednesday, with the union saying it would work on a proposal to the presentation made by the league on Tuesday.
"We want to work on a proposal and respond on the NHL one," NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr told reporters. "Hopefully tomorrow."
Fehr also confirmed that the league's proposal, "would move players share from 43 percent to 46 percent." He added that the association asked the league a series of questions and got clarification, but also said that both sides' sources and structure of revenue sharing are, "quite different."
"Our preference is to keep the same definition of hockey related revenue," he said.
