Phoenix Coyotes defenceman Keith Yandle is garnering a lot of interest from around the National Hockey League but it could come at a high price for a team willing to pull the trigger on a deal.

The 26-year-old has been one of the premiere offensive blueliners for the past several seasons and leads the Coyotes with 21 points in 36 games so far this year.

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney told USA Today that his team is "doing a lot of listening right now" as a handful of teams are said to be interested.

One of those teams is the Philadelphia Flyers, who are rumoured to be pursuing the Boston native. The Flyers' back end has been plagued with injuries of late with Braydon Coburn and Andrej Meszaros out with shoulder injuries.

Coburn is expected to miss three to four weeks, while Meszaros will likely miss the remainder of the season.

Yandle was drafted in the fourth round (105th overall) by the Coyotes in the 2005 NHL Draft and has 208 points in 401 games all spent with Phoenix. He becomes an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016.

The Coyotes currently sit 12th in the Western Conference and are fighting for a playoff spot.
