GLENDALE, Ariz. — Predators forward Mike Ribeirosaid it was "weird" returning to Arizona to face his former teammates.
Ribeiro assisted on Ryan Ellis' goal in the first period of the 5-1 victory played in front of a sparse crowd at Gila River Arena.
"Once again, not a lot of fans in the building so they didn't have a chance to boo me," Ribeiro said. "They might have, but I didn't hear it."
Ribeiro was bought out of the remaining three years of his contract in June for what Coyotes general manager Don Maloney called "behavioral issues." Ribeiro signed a one-year contract with the Predators in July.
"At the end of the day, it's in the past and I wish them good luck," Ribeiro said.
