quartF-27 N5098A was broken up at Marana with the fuselage reported at Quartzsite in the early 90’s. From this accident report, the airfield identifier appears to be 2L3.

The transporter has had a number of airframes on display; how many and their identity would make an interesting research project.

Hi Barry,
Check out...

and zoom in along the runway.
It looks to be a rarely active runway...a fuel truck at the Army Beech, but there is no indication of the airport on the sectional or Airport/Facility Directory...(Airnav.com).

Driving along the I-10 freeway sunday toward LA I saw around 4 or 5 aircraft sitting in a remote sandy area just passed exit 17 for Quartzite. One of these was a Learjet and a US Army Beech (Travel Air)....has anbody out got any I/D's for all these aircraft and the US Army UH-1 on the Phoenix bound side of the I-10 which sits on top of an old truck!
Any help would be great!!
Cheers,
