Coyotes team scope: Backup goalie Anders Lindback could start after rookie Louis Domingue made 26 saves in a 4-1 victory against the Calgary Flames on Friday, ending a five-game losing streak (0-4-1). Captain Shane Doan had two goals and an assist, moving him past Dale Hawerchuk as the Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets franchise's all-time leader in points (931). He passed Hawerchuk as the franchise's all-time top goal-scorer with No. 380 on Dec. 31 and is glad he can turn his focus to helping the Coyotes compete for a position in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. "We're in February and no one predicted we'd be in the middle of [a playoff race]," he said. "We're not where we want to be, but we're not too far away from it. We just have to find ways to keep winning."
Sharks team scope: Jones is expected to be back in goal after Alex Stalock allowed five goals on 22 shots in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. Forward Logan Couture, who had a goal and three assists against Calgary, will be in the lineup despite taking a slash in the leg and the butt end of a stick to the mouth that necessitated a trip to the dentist Friday. Defenseman Matt Tennyson is likely to play for the second straight game in place of Brenden Dillion (upper-body injury). "I doubt [Dillon is] ready to play tomorrow, but I think he's ready soon," DeBoer told the San Jose Mercury News.
