GLENDALE Ariz. -- Shane Doan had two goals and assisted on Connor Muphy's game-winner 6:06 into the third period in the Arizona Coyotes' 3-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Gila River Arena Tuesday.
Doan's goals came 14 seconds apart in the first period for the Coyotes (16-15-2), who completed a two-game season sweep of the Maple Leafs.
Doan is three goals behind Dale Hawerchuk's Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets franchise record of 379 that has stood since 1990. He has 912 points in 20 seasons with the Jets/Coyotes, second to Hawerchuk's 929.
Arizona goalie Louis Domingue made 37 saves for his second win in as many starts. He stopped Michael Grabner on a first-period penalty shot and protected the one-goal lead with a big save on PA Parenteau with 10:04 left.
James van Riemsdyk and Nazem Kadri scored for the Maple Leafs (12-14-7), whose point streak ended at six games.
Toronto goalie Jonathan Bernier made 23 saves. He had won two in a row and is 2-9-3 in 14 decisions.
Murphy's goal was the 20th scored by Arizona defensemen, who have scored at least one in 10 of the past 15 games. The Coyotes finished the game without defenseman Nicklas Grossmann, who left with an upper-body injury in the second period.
With Michael Stone in the penalty box for an illegal check to the head against Kadri, the red-hot Maple Leafs power play opened the scoring. Dion Phaneuf set up van Riemsdyk for a wrist shot from the left circle that beat Domingue to the far post at 15:09.
It was van Riemsdyk's 12th of the season and the fourth straight power-play goal for Toronto, which scored on all three chances in a 7-4 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday.
Toronto's lead didn't last long. Off the ensuing faceoff, Stefan Elliott's dump-in took a strange bounce off the back boards, and the puck rolled on its end into the slot. Doan was all alone on the forecheck and backhanded the puck over Bernier, off the crossbar and into the net at 15:16.
It was the 375th goal of Doan's career. It didn't take long for No. 376.
Kyle Chipchura set up Doan for a wrist shot that beat Bernier but hit the far post. The puck bounced into the crease, hit Bernier in the back and rolled to the near post. Doan dove and stuffed it home at 15:30 to make it 2-1 Arizona.
It was Doan's first two-goal game since Nov. 2, 2014, against the Washington Capitals and the 47th of his NHL career.
The final minute of the period belonged to Domingue.
First, he stopped Byron Froese with the pad and Grabner with a diving glove save on a 2-on-0, shorthanded breakaway.
Then, with 5.7 seconds left, Grabner was awarded a penalty shot after being taken down by Oliver Ekman-Larsson to prevent another shorthanded breakaway. Domingue made a stick save on Grabner's wrist shot headed between the pads.
Toronto turned up the physical pressure, put up 14 more shots in the second period and, a few minutes after a Shawn Matthias goal was wiped out by goalie interference, tied the game with an aggressive shift.
Tyler Bozak circled behind the Arizona net and flipped a centering pass that deflected off Murphy's skate and floated across the crease. Kadri adjusted to the direction change and slapped the puck out of the air and by Domingue at 14:00 for his sixth goal and fifth point in the past four games.
But Murphy broke the tie with a slap shot from the right point with Max Domi creating traffic in front of Bernier.
