Coyotes fans, unite.
The Arizona Coyotes are inviting fans to join them at Gila River Arena for a rally on June 26 as part of the club's 2015 NHL Draft viewing party in an effort to show their appreciation.
"We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support shown by Coyotes fans," Coyotes co-owner, president and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said in a team statement. "We are fortunate to have some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the entire NHL and we want to invite all of our fans in the Valley to take part in our rally to show their support for our team. The Coyotes are committed to Arizona and playing at Gila River Arena."
The event takes place amidst a tumultuous time for the organization — where fan support is needed more than ever — after Glendale City Council voted to cancel a 15-year arena lease agreement just two seasons into the deal.
A temporary restraining order has since been granted that prevents dissolution of the lease agreement, but there's still a long road ahead.
As part of the event, the Coyotes will also present their new home and away jerseys for the 2015-16 season with help from some of the team's top picks from recent drafts including Brendan Perlini, Max Domi and Connor Murphy.
