Re: [cactuswings 3304] Re: Qatari B748 BBJ at PHX July1

But FR24 block those aircraft when outside of the FAA jurisdiction as well.
Grrr!

That's because the FAA pander to the whims of the aircraft owners who don't want their wives to know where they are really going with the secretary/bit on the side!

Planefinder doesn't rely on FAA feeds so they can show the corporate stuff

They pull FAA data. Not sure about anywhere in Europe as Flightaware doesn't get this.

Like Flightaware FR24 also block some corporate aircraft,  which Planefinder doesn't.

No individual airline or aircraft owner feeds flight plan data
directly to FlightRadar24, FlightAware, etc...  They pull flight plan
data from the FAA and other government aviation authorities, which
gives them the scheduling data and planned route data they display on
their sites.  What we see on the sites as far as actually tracking
data on maps comes largely from live ADS-B or MLAT feeds these days,
although some data still comes from government radar data that is
shown on a five-minute delay.

With private flights and aircraft, things are often changed on the fly
while they're in the air, which can throw off what the servers running
a flight tracking site are expecting to see.  The sites tend to make
some assumptions about private flights as well, which doesn't help.
