I was struck by inspiration as I departed Gateway and so I ventured far off the grid to Coolidge, a place I'd never visited before. It was a long but worthwhile drive. Like Willow Run in the 1990s, there were no fences or barriers, just amazing airplanes. My full log follows, taken after having a quick word with a couple of law men. This airport is apparently used by the 82nd Airborne for jump practice on non-windy days, as well as hosting e-Cube (scrapping) and a mysterious C-130 operator.
My full log follows, compiled in a bit of a rush but with full ability to drive down dirt roads as long as I didn't "cross the active". Wow.
