Michlaek says he feels "completely recovered" from off-season hip surgery but he has yet to take contact, the Arizona Republic reports. "I didn't do any contact or anything like that, so we'll wait and see until the season starts on how that will go," he said. "But other than that, I didn't have any problems or issues, so I'm happy with everything."
Michalek did not go overseas during the lockout and opted instead to stay in Arizona and skate in Scottsdale. Michalek was medically cleared in November.
