Re: [cactuswings 2343] SECOND USE OF CIVILIAN AIRFRAMES FOR GROUND TRAINING

Further to Steve's comments, the information you require is already reported in aviation publications and collated in databases, some of which are free, some of which have a wide variety of price points.  The easy way to collate the information would be to go through production lists and extract the data you want, probably starting with the 727.  Production lists can be easily obtained by Googling or buying relevant spotting databases.

Also, a better response may be generated by being less waffly and getting to the point of what you want.  Your original email could have been done in 2 paragraphs.

You might have got more answers to this if you had started a new topic, rather than post a reply to one of Dave R's Movement reports - that means the title does not show on the group web-site.

For those of you who have missed Paul's original request, check under Dave's first post of June.

But at least I'm not just having a moan!.  The latest edition of "Survivors" published in 2012 by the Gatwick Aviation Society and authored by Roy Blewett, covers all remaining airframes for "older generation transports" with a first flight before 1965.  So this will cover a lot of the larger GI airframes.

Air-Britain's Business Jets and Business Turboprops production listings will also detail known examples with training schools.
