Season series: The Anaheim Ducks and Arizona Coyotes have won two games each, and spilt the two games in Arizona. Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg each have a goal and four points for the Ducks. Martin Erat has three assists for the Coyotes.

Ducks team scope: Anaheim would clinch the top seed in the Western Conference for the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a regulation or overtime win. "We haven't played good the past two games," coach Bruce Boudreau told the Ducks website after practice Friday. "We know what Arizona's plight is, but it's their last game of the season. We played them two years ago the last game of the season and they beat us." The Ducks lost to the Dallas Stars 4-0 on Wednesday and could end the regular season on a three-game losing streak. "You want to be on a roll going into the playoffs," forward Matt Beleskey said. "I'm sure that's what we'll do [Saturday] night." Boudreau didn't say if he would rest players, as he has done in the past few weeks. He also didn't say if goalie Frederik Andersen, who started Wednesday, or John Gibson, would start.

Coyotes team scope: It's been a difficult season for Arizona, which has lost two games in a row and is 11-24-5 at home. With a loss, the Coyotes could finish with the worst record in the NHL, if the Buffalo Sabres win their remaining two games, assuring Arizona one of the top two picks in the 2015 NHL Draft. Goalie Mike Smith, who was pulled in the second period after allowing four goals on 24 shots in a 5-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday, could sit in favor of backup Louis Domingue, who hasn't won since Feb. 1. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson has six goals in his past 11 games and leads NHL defensemen with 23.
