That is incorrect, Stephen.  Those flights were operated by the exact aircraft that he listed the registrations for, both of which were MD-88's on their retirement runs to SBD.

As for Delta MD-90's - there are several that have ferried in to SBD over the last few months.  Those birds are in long-term storage and will remain there until their engines return from overhaul in New Zealand.  There will be at least two (possibly three) MD-90's that will be retired and will serve as parts donors to keep the rest of the fleet going for a few more years.  Those birds should retire to BYH (one should already be there).

Any MD-88's making their way to SBD or BYH at this point are officially retired, the timing of which is being determined these days by how close they are to needing a major overhaul / check.  There will still be somewhere around 50 of them in the fleet at the start of 2020 (almost all of which have had their required ADS-B and GPS installs by now), but they'll all be gone by the end of 2020.
