Betreff: [ALST] LOG - PHX & SDF via ATL (September 2013)

SEA (9/19/2013)

Not much to report on this Thursday morning; a cancelled flight meant that there was more time spend than expected.…

Air Canada Express  CRJ          #170

Air Canada Express  DH1  CFJXZ   #326

ANA                 77W  JA783A

Atlas Air           763  N642GT

Continental         73J  N75436  classic c/s

Delta               752  N609DL  still ticking!

Lufthansa           333          #KI

Omni Air            763  N387AX

Sun Country         73H  N816SY

United Express      EM2  N294SW  battleship gray c/s lives!

PHX (9/19/2013)

I had just a moment before it was on to the day’s business.

American            M80  N403A

Great Lakes         BE1  N219GL

PHX (9/20/2013)

Again, there wasn’t much time to linger.

Great Lakes         BE1  N208GL

…plus the new Coyotes 757 (no sign of the 727 unfortunately) and an Aeromexico Connect ERJ.

SEA (9/23/2013)

There were a few birds of interest seen prior to a late morning departure.

ANA                788  JA814A  the Dream is back!

Hainan             332  B6133

Lufthansa          333          #KG

…plus four FedEx widebodies - versus the zero that are sometimes seen during the daytime.

ATL (9/23/2013)

American            M80  N474    still flying!

Delta               M90  N953DN  gleaming

Silver Airways      SF3  N435XJ

Silver Airways      SF3  N451XJ

SDF (9/23/2013)

Continental Express  ERJ  N285SK

                     ERJ  N292SK  blue tail c/s

SDF (9/24/2013)

I wanted to do a circuit of Standiford Field but time pressure and some newly changed roads cut my time short.  The Compass and Republic hangars were shut with no airplanes parked outside.  The pride of place was on the cargo ramp next to the terminal - a mostly white Convair freighter, possibly with a Mexican registration.

SDF (9/26/2013)

I had a very early departure meant that I could pick up many of the RON aircraft at Louisville.

Delta Connection   ERJ  N293SK  full c/s

Delta Connection   ERJ          #8579

…plus masses of UPS freighters roaring off into the pre-dawn darkness.

ATL (9/26/2013)

The only notable aspect to this transit of Atlanta’s airport was my first visit to the new F terminal.  With floor-to-ceiling glass, there were decent views from gates F12 and F14.

Delta              752  N610DL  soldiering on

Delta              D95  N786NC  age is a theme with DL apparently!

Silver Airways     SF3  N451XJ  #361

…plus a red Coca-Cola & FIFA themed MD-80 (ideas?), two additional Silver Saab 340s, an Asiana 747SF, and parts of the long-resident FedEx 727 and F-27 seen on departure dumped just past the huge Delta TechOps hangar.

SEA (9/26/2013)

My arrival was before the foreign heavies arrived and the pickings were slim…plus I had to hurry to an appointment.

United Express       EM2  N234SW  battleship gray c/s
