Despite winning the Stanley Cup on Monday night, the Los Angeles Kings will not be the favourites to hoist Lord Stanley next season.

The team with the best odds to win in 2012-13, according to the gambling website bodog.ca, is the Pittsburgh Penguins with 7/1 odds. The defending champion Kings are listed in second place at 11/1 while the New York Islanders, Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild have the worst odds at 75/1.

Among Canadian teams the Vancouver Canucks have the best odds at 12/1 followed by the Toronto Maple Leafs at 35/1, the Ottawa Senators and Winnipeg Jets at 40/1, the Calgary Flames at 50/1, with the Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens sharing 60/1 odds.
