Ktup is a small field with a military post onsite, so spotting inside was rather quick, spotting from exterior much easier, at gwo they have a security patrol using a late model sedan no markings, if the cotton has been picked , getting up close and personal is good. Take the left through the trees before the final turn to the fbo here. This will take you to the perimeter of gwo and follow the fenceline south then west. You will find an open gate to what appears to be closed raxiway / now a cotton field. Walk in , the american airbus is just inside . May also see the usairways 757s as well. It looks as if they are in the same area as you , but they are fenced in at the landing gear only, you can walk there. Depending where your driving from, there are not any motels/hotels truck stops or restaurants near either of these two locations. Expect alot of driving , i come up through florida / alabama . Leave early , daylight goes fast. Gwo best on the weekends when its storage area fbo is closed.
If columbines are harvesting the cotton fields , the exterior driving can be difficult. Dont let the unpaved roads scare you, they are all state county controlled . Do not get caught doing anything illegal. Your in the backwoods of Mississippi.
