Season series: The Arizona Coyotes have won all four games against the Calgary Flames. Arizona defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson has three goals and two assists, and goalie Louis Domingue has three wins and a .962 save percentage. Calgary defenseman Mark Giordano has a goal and two assists.
Flames team scope: Goalie Joni Ortio will make his second straight start. Forward Josh Jooris was back at practice Sunday after missing the past two games with a lower-body injury. Defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka (undisclosed) did not skate. Calgary was eliminated from playoff contention Saturday before losing 4-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks. The Flames, who have lost three straight, begin a four-game road trip before returning home for two of their final three games. "We want to see this group keep moving forward," coach Bob Hartley told the Flames website. "We want to use the next couple of games to prepare training camp, to prepare for the summer so that we leave this season - obviously very disappointed with our positioning in the standings, but at the same time proud of the way we finished."
Coyotes team scope: Forward Shane Doan (undisclosed) and defenseman Michael Stone (lower body) left in the third period of a 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. Coach Dave Tippett said that Doan left as a precaution after being hit into the boards by Philadelphia defenseman Radko Gudas and seemed fine. Stone "didn't look very good" after he got his left leg tangled up with Flyers forward Michael Raffl and would be re-evaluated, Tippett said. Arizona did not practice Sunday. The Coyotes have won six of their past eight games. "We want to finish strong so we don't want to let anyone get an easy win over us," forward Martin Hanzal told the Coyotes website. Goalie Mike Smith is 4-1-0 with a .965 save percentage in five games since returning from abdominal surgery on March 12.
