Coyotes team scope
The Arizona Coyotes are 2-11-1 in their past 14 games and are looking to end a three-game losing streak. They are 0-5-1 in the past six road games and 5-14-4 on the road. Thursday is the fifth game in seven days for the Coyotes and goaltender Louis Domingue will start after entering the game in the third period of a 6-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday. Domingue made four saves after Mike Smith six goals on 35 shots. "I'm running out of things to say, to be honest," Smith said Wednesday. "I know that much. ... Just got to find a way to make more saves and start turning things around."
Wild team scope
Minnesota Wild coach Bruce Boudreau likely will make some line adjustments following a 4-3 loss against the New Jersey Devils at home on Tuesday. "I've been known to tinker in the past," Boudreau said. "We will look at it and we'll see what was happening." Boudreau pointed to the first line of Zach Parise, Eric Staal and Charlie Coyle as the group to break up; they were a minus-one with zero points Tuesday. "Well I just don't think we were very good last game," Staal said. "I think we were pressing a little too hard offensively to try get one back when we were down and sometimes when you do that, pucks can end up back and in your net. I think when we were out there that happened too often last game, so we have to rectify that and play better this game." The Wild, 17-2-1 in their past 20 games, are tied for first place in the Western Conference with the Chicago Blackhawks. Minnesota has won nine of their last 11 games at Xcel Energy Center, outscoring opponents 43-20, and are 14-5-0 at home this season. Goaltender Devan Dubnyk will start. He is 14-2-0 with 33 goals allowed in his past 16 starts.
