[cactuswings 1960] Re: LOG - Phoenix Area (August 2012)

IFL Convair operates a nightly roundtrip to LAX for DHL  (used to be Ameriflight Beech 1900).

Mesa Airlines training moved from IWA to PHX. CRJ cabin trainer in Swift hangar. CRJ simulator at US Airways.

There wasn't much worth sticking around for here, just the IFL Convair (which seems to be a regular).

A quick drive around Mesa's main airport revealed, since my last visit a few months ago, a few changes.  There's a lot of construction including an expanded terminal and a few hangars going up.  The Mesa Airlines training facility (and mystery all-white CRJ used for cabin training) are gone.  Also, I didn't see any of the firefighting aircraft that I was hoping to see based here.  Still, this is an airport worthy of a visit once in a while - a full log follows.
