Season series: Kyle Chipchura had a goal and an assist to help the Arizona Coyotes to a 4-3 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre on Oct. 26. Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Mikkel Boedker each had two assists for Arizona; Nazem Kadri had two assists for Toronto.

Maple Leafs team scope: Toronto extended its point streak to six games (4-0-2) with a 7-4 win at the Colorado Avalanche on Monday. Coach Mike Babcock said he wasn't sure if he would start goaltender Garret Sparks on Tuesday after Jonathan Bernier allowed four goals on 28 shots in the victory Monday, but he would likely make up his mind on the flight from Denver to Phoenix. Toronto has scored four or more goals in each of its past four games. Leo Komarov has five goals and two assists during a four-game point streak. "He's definitely in the zone right now," said center Tyler Bozak, who had a hat trick Monday. "He's confident, and whenever you're confident, you play your best. He's doing everything for us, and it's fun to watch and fun to see, and we're very happy for him."

Coyotes team scope: It's the fifth of a six-game homestand for Arizona, which is 2-1-1 thus far. Goalie Louis Domingue will start Tuesday after getting his first NHL shutout in a 1-0 win against the New York Islanders on Saturday. Center Martin Hanzal played Saturday after missing four games because of a lower-body injury, but he did not practice Monday. "We just kept him off today," coach Dave Tippett told The Arizona Republic. "Just making sure he's going to be all right. He got some treatment today. Hopefully he'll play again (Tuesday)." Defenseman Zbynek Michalek (lower body) skated Monday but will miss his fourth straight game. "He won't play until after Christmas, but it's a good step in the right direction for him," Tippett said.
