Hi all and thanks for your efforts. It is very much appreciated.
It's both fascinating and frustrating with anomynous frames like the ANA 767s

I'm pretty sure one of the "NN" 767s is JA8273, or at least that's what it's quoted to be.
I've attached a collage of my photo and a photo from a.net dated sept 2014.
The two ANA 767 appears to be exactly identical. It's even parked at the same position.
So it must be a pre-2015 arrival.

Where the photographer got the ID from, I dont know.

I'll see if I can match something with the last one.

Yes, I think you're absolutely right.

 

Unless anybody is able to physically search the airframe, I guess no one can be 100% certain as to its identity.

 

Hopefully, the true story will evolve in due course.

in that case i think we are looking at the Internet phenomenon where information is simply repeated -in good faith- from another online source. Without being able to verify that source, but by spreading the info over various sites making it appear even more credible in the process.

 

Same happened to the Hellenic Imperial B747 at Marana being mis-quoeted as "SX-TIE" which has been repeated in numerous logs and pics, and indeed that incorrect info is still out there. (It is former D-ABZE painted in a color scheme that was only worn by SX-TIE from the HIA B747 that were in service)

 

Made the same mistake myself re-using a registration of a LAN A340 stored at Marana spreading the wrong registration in the process!

 

ANA B767s

JA8256 JA8257 JA8258 JA8259 JA8271 JA8272 all arrived VCV in 2012

JA8273 JA8274 JA8275 arrived in 2013

JA8287 JA8288 arrived in 2014

JA8290 JA8291 JA8363 JA8368 in 2015

 

The list isn't probably even complete.

 

In any case i visited VCV in March 2014 and there was ONE ANA B767 present and we did see all aircraft at VCV that day.

 

It is believed to be either JA8274 or JA8275, but that is not confirmed. It *could* have been JA8273 - but i am highly sceptical they would taken a random 767 from all the arrivals and NOT scrap it in sequence, nor scrapping it swiftly - which they both did at all airports where they retired aircraft.

 

Highly, highly unlikely that JA8273 is kept to survive for almost three years by now. Though i am sure we will never really know the way the ANA B767 are concealed just day(s) after they arrive.
