The Arizona Coyotes have acquired forward Sergei Plotnikov from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported the Penguins will receive minor-league forward Matthias Plachta and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
Plotnikov, 25, has two assists in 32 games for the Penguins in his first NHL season. He hasn't played since Jan. 6.
Prior to signing with the Penguins on July 1, 2015, Plotnikov played six seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League, averaging 14 goals and 29 points during the past four.
Plachta, 24, has two goals and seven points in 46 games for Springfield of the American Hockey League in his first season in North America. He previously played in the German league.
The Penguins host the Coyotes on Monday at Consol Energy Center (7 p.m. ET; FS-A, ROOT, NHL.TV).
