FLYERS (14-15-6) at COYOTES (13-18-4)

TV: CSN-PH, FS-A

Season series: The Philadelphia Flyers and Arizona Coyotes split two games last season, with each winning on the other's home ice. Flyers forward Jakub Voracek and Coyotes forward Mikkel Boedker each had a goal and an assist in Philadelphia's 5-3 win Jan. 4, the most recent game.

Flyers team scope: Goalie Steve Mason is expected to start Monday after missing the past four games because of an apparent back injury he sustained at practice Dec. 19. Center Pierre-Edouard Bellemare appeared to injure his left arm crashing into the boards at practice Sunday, but told the Philadelphia Inquirer he plans to play. Forward Zac Rinaldo, who is ready to return from an upper-body injury that cost him the past three games, would likely take Bellemare's place on the fourth line, with Vincent Lecavalier or Chris VandeVelde moving from wing to center. Philadelphia is 3-1-0 halfway through its season-high eight-game road trip following a 4-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday. Center Claude Giroux scored for the Flyers. It was Giroux's fourth goal of the trip, all at even strength; he had two even-strength goals through the first 31 games.

Coyotes team scope: Arizona has won two in a row following its 2-1 shootout win against the NHL-leading Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. Goalie Devan Dubnyk will likely get the start after he made 35 saves in regulation and overtime before stopping all four Ducks shooters in the tiebreaker. The Coyotes had been 2-6-1 in December before their 5-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 23. Five of the Coyotes' 13 wins have come against the Oilers, who are last in the League in the standings. Dubnyk, who is 8-3-2 with a 2.52 goals-against average and .924 save percentage, has started five of the past six games; he made 61 saves on 63 shots in the wins against Edmonton and Anaheim. Arizona recalled forward Tyler Gaudet from Portland of the American Hockey League on Sunday. The 21-year-old has four goals and eight points in 29 games in the AHL.
