COYOTES (20-35-7) at BRUINS (30-22-9)

TV: FS-A, NESN

Season series: Brad Marchand scored twice, and Reilly Smith and Dougie Hamilton each had two assists to help the Boston Bruins end a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes on Dec. 6. Arizona goalie Devan Dubnyk made 20 saves before he was pulled after the fourth Boston goal; Mike Smith played the final 24 minutes and made eight saves.

Coyotes team scope: This is the last game for Arizona before the NHL Trade Deadline on March 2. "We will retool at the end of the year, so for us we're in sell-off mode and we've been very public about that," general manager Don Maloney told WFAN Radio on Thursday. "We're waiting to get what we think is a good price for some of our players. I'm sure we'll be making three or four deals." The Coyotes have lost eight in a row, all in regulation, and are one point from falling into 29th place in the NHL standings, which would guarantee a top-two pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. Arizona has 47 points, the Edmonton Oilers have 46, and the Buffalo Sabres have 43 at the bottom of the League. Forward Henrik Samuelsson made his NHL debut in a 4-3 loss at the New York Rangers on Thursday. Forward Mark Arcobello will play his 100th NHL game; he has five goals in his first seven games with the Coyotes since joining them off waivers.

Bruins team scope: The status of goalie Tuukka Rask is uncertain after he did not play Friday because of illness. Niklas Svedberg filled in and defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in overtime. Rask had played in 18 straight games, making 16 starts. The Bruins recalled goalie Jeremy Smith from Providence of the American Hockey League to back up Svedberg; if Smith plays it would be his NHL debut. Forward Ryan Spooner scored his first NHL goal in overtime, and forward David Pastrnak had a goal and an assist. This is the Bruins' second game of four, first of three at home, against a team not in a Stanley Cup Playoff position.
