Forward Daniel Carcillo, who played nine seasons in the NHL and was part of two Stanley Cup-winning teams, announced his retirement Thursday.
Carcillo, 30, won the Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks last season, scoring four goals and eight points in 39 regular-season games. He did not play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Carcillo was a third-round pick (No. 73) in the 2003 NHL Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He debuted in the NHL with the Arizona Coyotes in 2006-07 and also played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers. He had 48 goals, 100 points and 1,233 penalty minutes in 429 regular-season games.
Carcillo had seven goals and 14 points in 45 postseason games. He was also a member of the Blackhawks' championship team in 2013.
