DEVILS (21-19-5) at COYOTES (22-16-5)

TV: MSG+, FS-A

Season series: Defenseman Adam Larsson scored 43 seconds into overtime to give the New Jersey Devils a 3-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Prudential Center on Oct. 20. Travis Zajac had a goal and two assists, and goaltender Cory Schneider made 18 saves for the Devils. Anthony Duclair and Mikkel Boedker each scored for the Coyotes.

Devils team scope: Injured forward Jordin Tootoo (head) and defenseman John Moore (lower body) practiced Friday. Tootoo missed a 3-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, and Moore has missed the past four games. Forwards Reid Boucher and Brian O'Neill were recalled from Albany of the American Hockey League; defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani and forward Jim O'Brien were sent down. The Devils have lost five of six games, scoring six goals and going 0-for-15 on the power play in the stretch. "Whether it's to get a big goal or turn the momentum, we've just got to do a better job (on the power play)," forward Kyle Palmieri told Northjersey.com. "This last stretch has not been good, and you've got to win the special teams battle, and it's huge on the road." Saturday concludes a four-game road trip. Left wing Mike Cammalleri will miss his eighth straight game with an upper-body injury. The Devils are also without forwards Bobby Farnham (suspension), Jacob Josefson (left foot) and Patrik Elias (right knee).

Coyotes team scope: Defenseman Jarred Tinordi and forward Stefan Fournier were acquired from the Montreal Canadiens on Friday in a three-team trade also involving the Nashville Predators. The Predators traded defenseman Victor Bartley to the Coyotes for defenseman Stefan Elliott, then the Coyotes sent Bartley and forward John Scott to the Canadiens for Tinordi and Fournier. "[Tinordi] is a big, young, strong kid who plays hard," general manager Don Maloney said. "It's been a difficult year [for him], but we'll try and make it work here." Tinordi will report to the Coyotes and Fournier to Springfield of the AHL. Defenseman Kevin Connauton, who on Wednesday was claimed off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets, was paired with Zbynek Michalek at practice Friday. "We look at this [trade] and bringing Kevin Connauton in and it gives us some solid depth and youth on our blue line," Maloney said. The Coyotes had their four-game win streak end Thursday in a 3-2 overtime loss against the Detroit Red Wings. Goaltender Louis Domingue is 7-0-3 in 10 starts this season.
