{coyotes} Oilers place Nikitin on waivers

 

The Edmonton Oilers placed defenceman Nikita Nikitin on waivers Satruday.

The 29-year-old had four goals and 10 points in 42 games for the Oilers last year.

Nikitin is in the second year of a two-year, $9 million contract signed with the team prior to last year.

Along with Nikitin, Potter (ARI), Gragnani (NJ), K Porter and Warsofsky (PIT), Aubry (DET), Tangradi (DET) and Akeson (BUF) were placed on waivers Saturday.
